This is a Laser Photonics YQD-101 flash lamp pumped q-switched YAG with a frequency doubler. It was originally owned by the Virginia state crime lab, where it was used to look for fingerprints by making them fluoresce. The rod is about 3/8 by 2 inches. According to my slightly questionable joule-meter its currently doing 3mJ per pulse of 532nm, the warning tag says 15mJ 10ns. I don't know how much 1064nm it is generating (its quite a bit more than 3mJ, it will trivially mark zapit paper), getting my joule-meter between the oscillator and the frequency doubler is impossible.
The frequency doubler is about 10mm square, and has a couple of marks on it, but seems to work fine.
The rod and lamp are water cooled, with a water to air heat exchanger. (As can be seen in the second picture.)
It is multi-mode, and thus will not make holograms without modification.
Plugs into a plain old 110V 60 Hz outlet.
I've gotten a larger and more easily modified laser for my holographic efforts, so I'm selling this one.
This is obviously a Class 4 laser.
