When I was young, my father worked at Bendix Avionics making test panels for aircraft automatic pilot systems. He would show me kits like the neon chaser lights (like this reproduction on YouTube or Hackaday).

I've retained an interest and always have multiple projects going in the background.

I use open source tools such as KiCad on my personal projects.
